Are you ready to become Dinosaur Roar?

This Dinosaur Roar T-rex costume from The World of Dinosaur Roar! sticker magazine is absolutely roar-some!

We recommend you save a large cardboard box and a smaller box (like a shoebox) for this mighty make.

For Roar's eyes, we've included a free sheet for you to print – just keep scrolling to download it. You can have a go at making Dinosaur Roar's claws and feet, if you like (the sticker sheet from The World of Dinosaur Roar! magazine will help with that).

As the paint may take a while to dry, it's best to spread this activity over a couple of days – one for painting, the next for sticking. Ideal if you've got a wet weekend ahead of you.

Want to get your claws on The World of Dinosaur Roar! Mega Sticker magazine? It's available now from the Giggly shop. And it's packed with roarsome crafts, easy snack recipes, games, puzzles and colouring, plus 140+ stickers and a sticker reward chart!

How to make this homemade dinosaur costume

Step 1

Homemade dinosaur costume

Cut the corners off the big box flaps and tape the sides together so they're positioned like the picture above.

Step 2

Snip out the arm holes. The bottom of the box should be open so you can put it over your head.

Step 3

Stick a triangle-shaped cardboard tail onto the back of the box.

Step 4

Grab a shoebox to make Dinosaur Roar's head. Cut a hole in the lid (big enough for your head to go through) and stick it on the top of the body box.

Step 5

Stick the shoebox on top of the lid at an angle so it stays open. Then paint it all green. You could also paint the bubblewrap green and use it to print scales.

Step 6

You could also make Roar's claws and feet using extra cardboard and bubble wrap, like the picture above. We've provided stickers for this in The World of Dinosaur Roar! magazine
